Timothy
Coté, MD.
Dr.
Timothy Coté is a 1987 MD graduate of Howard University
College of Medicine and he concurrently received a Masters in
Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. After
finishing a transitional internship and a residency with Board-certification
in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Dr. Cote began Federal
service as an officer in the Center for Disease Control's Epidemiology
Intelligence Service where he investigated a wide range of public
health problems. Over the past 15 years he has served in a variety
of positions at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Food
and Drug Administration, and the US Department of Agriculture.
As part of his ten years at the NCI he completed a residency
in Anatomic Pathology and is also Boarded in that specialty.
Presently, he serves as the CDC-assigned Senior Federal Advisor
to the Director of the DC Department of Health. He has authored
or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in the medical
literature.
